To start the class, I ordered the classroom in a horse shoe position because I think it is the best seating arrangement for the T-rooms. This was my last class in the access program. So, I stated the class with a memory game to start a review about present continuous. Students had to match pictures in which there were actions in present continuous. Also, they had to repeat the actions that people were doing in the pictures.

After a quick explanation about the topic, I gave the students some fill in the blank practices in which students had to write the appropriate verb for the sentences. Also, I gave them a picture in which there were people in the beach doing some actions. So, they had to write 10 sentences about the actions they were doing.

In future classes, I will try to motivate students, developing different activities. Also, I will try to create interesting and good material for the class because a problem I could notice in the Access Program is that students are tired and stressed out because of the time of the class and because the classrooms are not big enough to develop an activity that include movements.

I started the class with a warm up activity called ¨ Present Simple Dominoes¨.  It was an perfect activity to make a review about the simple present tense which was a topic which they have studied before. It was an activity that students developed in pairs and they enjoyed so much.  Also, I noticed that they did not have any problem completing the sentences in the game.

The grammar section was about simple present negative tenses. I gave them a short explanation, but I used a lot of examples. The students always paid attention to the explanation and helped me with the examples that I asked for.

After the grammar explanation, I developed some activities to see how much the students understood about the new topic. Fill in the blank and transformation drills were some of the activities that I used. Also, ¨find someone who¨ helped me to see if they understood the topic  because they  had to explain the information that they got about their classmates using simple present negative form.
At the end of the class, I asked the students to write a 5 lines paragraph about something they don´t like and why.

In the future, I will be very careful at the moment of giving instructions because sometimes it’s necessary to explain one by one when they ask again about the procedure to follow in the activity.

This was my first experience teaching in the Access Program. At the beginning of the class, I felt a little anxious because I did not know how those students could react to my teaching performance. Fortunately, I felt much better after introducing myself in a short speech.

For this class, I was asked to continue teaching the topic how to give directions. I started the class asking them if they like to sing. I felt kind of nervous because some said yes and some said no. Indeed, I expected all of them said yes, but it was not like that. So, I started the class with a song as a warm up. I used the ¨Directions Rap Song¨ in which students had to listen the song and make the gestures in the song.  However, I felt great latter  because was noticeable that all of them like the song because they enjoyed the activity even some of them asked me about the name of the song because they wanted to look for it after the class.

After the warm up activity, I gave them a piece of paper containing some of the vocabulary that would be used in the class. In this activity, students had to match the image with the word. The vocabulary was about buildings in a town. Students worked smoothly and very fast. In fact, they finished the activity before the time I expected. So, I started to ask randomly for the answer. I felt great because all of them were right and I could noticed that they have enough vocabulary for the level in which they are.

Then, I gave them a little map which had on it some streets and some buildings. In this activity, they had to listen a paragraph that I read for them. So, they had to set a number on the place that the person in the paragraph was going to. Also, they had to pay attention to the actions that the person did in the reading. After reading the paragraph, students had to say the routine in the same order and using the actions that the person did; Such as, Karla visited the cinema. The cinema is between the supermarket and the museum, and so on.

After that, I gave them a piece of paper with some sentences. I asked them to make pairs. The students had to choose if the sentence was true or false according to the reading. Additionally, students had to discuss the sentences with the classmates to decide if it was true or false.  Also, students had to fix the sentences in case it was false. After completing the sentences, students were chosen randomly to read the sentences for the whole class.

Finally, I asked them to make three groups. Students would play ¨Pin the tail to the donkey¨. Students had to choose a leader. The leader of the group was blindfolded. The members of the first group had to give directions to the blindfolded students to achieve the aim. The time was not enough for the three groups to play, but with the first group it was noticeable that students learned how to give directions.

I really like how students in the access program work. I liked teaching this students because based in what I observed students are hard workers. They seem to be a very united group and they easily get along with each other. Also, I have noticed students from this group are very participative.

In my future teaching experiences, I will be very carefully with the time because sometimes time is not enough to develop the activities as we expected.  So, I will try to include more activities, but with less time to be completed by the students.
